Roughly two hours

That was the time between the request for service and my reply.

Roughly two hours is the gap between the visitor asking for service and me showing up. I record it like this, with the imprecision memory allows, because it is the number I have — not measured by an instrument, estimated by recollection. Two hours did not seem like much to me at the time, and on the side of the person waiting they were the whole conversation.
